About

Course Description

This three-session workshop equips facility and asset management professionals with the practical skills needed to build, manage, and defend operating and capital budgets with confidence.

The course focuses on real-world budgeting practices used in regulated, asset-intensive environments. Participants learn how budgets are structured, how costs are justified, and how financial decisions are reviewed and approved at the executive level. Emphasis is placed on clarity, accountability, and communicating financial needs in a way that aligns with organizational priorities.

By the end of the workshop, participants will understand not only how to prepare budgets, but how to manage them throughout the year, respond to unplanned costs, and speak the language of finance when engaging senior leadership.
