Course Description

This 8-module executive course helps senior facility, asset, operations, and infrastructure professionals move from operational management into strategic asset leadership.

Participants will learn how to connect asset decisions to organizational value, service delivery, financial performance, regulatory compliance, risk management, resilience, and long-term planning. The course focuses on practical tools and executive-level thinking, helping participants evaluate capital priorities, develop defensible investment recommendations, and communicate asset strategies with confidence.

The program is designed for professionals who are already familiar with facility or infrastructure operations and are ready to take a stronger role in capital planning, governance, portfolio strategy, and organizational decision-making.

Delivery Format

Delivery: Fully online, live instructor-led


Length: 8 live sessions


Format: Cohort-based, one module per session

Each session includes live instruction, facilitated discussion, real-world examples, decision-making exercises, and executive-level case walkthroughs. Participants will apply the course concepts to common challenges such as aging infrastructure, deferred maintenance, limited capital funding, compliance requirements, service expectations, and portfolio-level trade-offs.

Between-Session Work

Participants may complete short applied assignments between sessions, including:

  • Capital planning exercises

  • Risk and compliance reflections

  • Business case development activities

  • Scenario planning exercises

  • Portfolio or asset strategy review

  • Executive briefing preparation

Final Application

Participants complete an executive asset strategy or capital recommendation based on a real or sample organization, facility portfolio, asset class, or infrastructure challenge.

The final application may include asset priorities, lifecycle considerations, funding constraints, risk exposure, compliance implications, stakeholder impacts, and a recommended path forward for executive decision-making.
